Podcast Projects
"Podcasts can become avenues by which students may be motivated and guided to become active constructors of their own knowledge" (Northcote et al., 2007, p. 19).
The VOICE lab investigates podcasting as a digital literacy platform through both research and practical application. Within the VOICE lab, we analyze the affordances of podcasting in amplifying the voices of marginalized youth, exploring its utility in both in-school and out-of-school learning environments. We have collaborated with Black immigrant youth, middle and high school students, pre-service teachers, graduate students, and undergraduate students to develop and disseminate podcasts across various contexts.
Furthermore, the VOICE lab produces its own podcast series titled "Let Me Talk!" The inaugural season, commencing in Fall 2025, will highlight the experiences of our initial cohort of lab interns.
